Met up wif Zf & Ruby for dinner at Raffles City Basement ~ Shodoku ... Omg! It's only slightly past 6pm & I joined the long Q while waiting for the gals to arrive. In fact, i was alreadi damm hungry & the tot of further queuing for our food alreadi wither part of my appetite. It's really warm thou the place was air-conditioned. Luckily, Zf arrived soon after & the waiting time past faster as we chatted. Ruby reached juz in time as it's our turn to enter.
We got a table at a rather exclusive section ~ the Samurai section. Shodoku means 'canteen' in japanese & inside had various sections decor in diff jap themes. Upon 'chopping' reserved with the wooden chess, 3 of us went to see wat shall we order. At the Grilled sticks stall, we ordered Shitake mushrooms, Scallops, Terriyaki chix, Prawn & Bacon roll. Next, we moved on to order Unagi Fried Rice & Gyozas. At the Ommelette stall, the usually long Q was surprisingly quite short this time... Zf sugg to have a Bacon & Cheese Ommelette. After all the ordering, we bought 3 cups of Orange Peel Tea (Yuzu Cha).
Ruby & I like the tea, with its sweet & sour taste but zf simply do not enjoy the tea lo, haha! When we collected the grilled sticks, i was awfully disappointed with the Shitake Mushrooms Stick as it had SHRUNK! The last time when i ate wif Ruby, we had 3 whole mushrooms nicely perched on the sticks but now, only 2 mushrooms were sliced into halves... lesser to eat! We grumbled that food prices had soared! The ommelette was nice, except for abit too salty & i suspect the bacon could be the culprit. The Unagi Fried Rice was the ultimatium mistake! It had too much pepper on the rice that i couldn't stomach the 'hotness'! I would nv order the fried rice in future! The gyozas were not bad... 
After finishing all these, Zf wanted to order the Rosti + Sausage ... however it turned out to be another disappointment lo! The Rosti didn't look appealing (too dry) & the sausage was bland. I pretty much gave up eating this. The much look-forward were the desserts lah! Cos me & ruby remembered the waffle was good fr our initial try! So Ruby & I went to the desserts stall ... we wanted 2 scoops of ice-cream but ruby commented that it's not worth since $3 to top up 1 scoop, might as well buy another waffle ($5.80)? So i opted for 1 Waffle wif Rock Melon Ice-cream and a Crepe wif Cookies & Cream Ice-Cream. 
3 of us ate the waffles & crepe heartily... think i ate the most, esp the waffle...hehe! Zf was pretty much filled by the Rosti earlier. Thou we dun seems to eat alot, but we felt full at the end! When about to settle our bill, Ruby then disclosed to me that this would be a treat fr both of them in advance for my bday! Waahaahaa! Din noe they so 神秘 lo! Nevertheless, it was a pleasant surprise lah!
Zf said the new MRT passage to Suntec had opened & bluffed us to walk wif her...damm, the upwards escalator was stalled & we had to walk up! Aiyo! It simply led to the new Suntec shopping area only...nothing to see wat! We chided zf for making us waste energy! We detoured back to City Link's TCC as most shops in Suntec r closed. The rest of the nite was spent R&R at TCC sipping our drinks... (^o^)
