2 weeks ago, I was invited by FB's "East Coast Photographers" group to join them in today's photoshoot... It's been 1 year since i met up wif the organiser ~ Affan. Punggol end has been our 'to-shoot' venue since 1 year back! Time flies....
I really look forward to today's outing & met up at Seng Kang MRT station. It turned out that our group was smaller than the RSVP numbers... Great! Too big group would be difficult to move along... We boarded the MRT to Punggol & took a feeder-bus 84 from the inter-change. Some of them waited for us directly at Punggol end... There were 7 of us, including one guy who joined briefly wif his family in tow! There were only 2 female photographers, including myself!
Affan commented that the whole area had changed alot as this area was just beach & lallang field in the past. Now, due to our national park board's development, this has become part of the Punggol Waterfront. It's an extremely hot & humid afternoon wif sizzling temperature! We saw an ice-cream peddler & someone suggested let's have ice-cream to cool off first! haha! This was really an unique way to kick-start our day at 4.30pm...I had a sweetcorn flavour ice-cream wrapped in bread...wow! it's been yrs that i ate this. ^_^
1st time capturing fantastic sunrays!
My fav shot of the day ~ Angler with his shrimp bait!
Since there would be some time before the golden hour, we strolled along the path to do some random shoots... Affan went ahead to racee & informed us that the entire walk-way is 4km! We better stick around this area so as to have sufficient time to head back later. After strolling past the greenary, I saw some cyclists & anglers. There were numerous fishing rods anchor to the barrier, while the anglers pitch a tent to wait for their catch. At this moment, Affan pointed out to us the beaming sunrays thru' the clouds! We started to set up our tripod & quinting our eyes at our viewfinders to capture the moment! Thankfully, I had my sunglass with me and a polariser filter for my wide angle. With these, it certainly helped me to nail the shot! I also felt as if being BBQ under the extreme weather...
