Shopping @ Johor Bahru。。。

Woke up early today for a day trip across the causeway wif dad & mom... It muz be at least 10 donkey years ago since i stepped into JB!  Since dad took leave to be our tour guide for the day, i better tag along, haha!

It was relatively smooth as we boarded the MRT to Kranji & without a need to wait, bus 170 was at the bus-stop waiting for us! We breezed thru' the customs as well &  reached the other side of the Causeway before noon! Since it was fully sheltered fr the Malaysian customs to the City Square Mall, there was no worries of rain too.

One of the first restaurants I spotted in City Square was Kenny Rogers... A quick glance at its menu & due to the conversion rate, it was abt S$6 cheaper for a quarters' set! So, i psycho my parents to try it, keke! One key diff was instead of 2 sides, we can select 3 side dishes + muffin. So we ordered a half chix set & a quarters' set. When my meal arrived, i realised the sides portions r slightly lesser & my fav macaroni cheese also pale in comparision to Sg's branch. The chix was still pretty close.... while their muffin offer a choice of either choc or vanilla. My dad commented the chix was not as much as i mentioned, but at the end of the lunch, we were all veri full!

Ok, time for legs exercise after a heavy lunch... Shopping time! Those who know me should know i dun really shop much, i tink can count easily wif my 5 fingers, as to how often i would buy clothes/ shoes per year. In fact, it's particularly hard to find suitable shoes & i juz wore out my 4 yrs (or more) sneakers...If not, i also won't hunt for another pair few days back!

Juz as we proceed to level 4, I spotted a shop selling a wide variety of shoes... The shops at this level were albeit similar to Far East's shops, catering to young people... peddling bags, clothes, flip-flops & shoes.  I was immediately attracted to the colourful loafers lo! I had been browsing sg's shops for something similar but all i could find here r the guys' type. But at this shop, they have the girls' version! It's not exactly cheap if not for our exchange rate, but i find the workmanship looks good. I tried a purple wif black loafer initially but ultimately still think the chilli red loafer seems more ME! I decided to racee around first bef deciding...

After checking the prices at a couple other shops, the first one was indeed the cheapest since it's having a sale...Then, when i stepped into their Action City, i was impressed by the huge variety vs ours... Alamak! I saw something i fancy again! It's a Doraemon luggage tag, keke! So kawaii & wif this addition, will match my doraemon travel accessories, haha! They even have doraemon PSP casing, cool!  When i browsed at Converse, i was impressed wif their creativity, cos the sneakers were all decked out in colourful & patterned shoe-laces...which made me wonder how to pleat the shoe-laces so nicely! (Never seen this in our Converse shops, does it means s'poreans lack creativity?)
Spotted a queer looking tree wif nice red leaves

Daddy also brought us to another older mall ~ Kota Raya... but this pales in comparision as there's nothing much, except for a supermarket. By now, my feet were tired & we headed back to City Square for Mac's sundae. Their service speed was really slow, there's only 1 guy queuing in front of me at the desserts counter. When it's my turn, i ordered my sundaes in eng, but my orders were confirmed in malay, ''satu, dua''? Phew, luckily i still understand the basic numerals 1 to 5 in Bahasa Malayu! Now, u noe that English is not that universal afterall =)

After 3hrs of shopping, I returned to purchase my red loafer! Then, hopped over to Nike for socks & saw a pair wif unique design! At this moment, mommy who was supposedly browsing at the clothing shop nearby actually went to the shoes shop to ask the salesgal if seen us... Guess wat? the salesgal checked the cctv & informed my mom, we juz left the shop 5 mins ago! LoL

At the end of the day, the usual shopping queen aka mommy left empty-handed & could only envy me wif my shopping bag, keke!
