Growing Up...

After reading my youngest cousin's blog, i do sympathise wif her... she finally got into local Uni, aft much difficulties. Somehow, we do share quite a similar path. For one reason, our cousins all hailed fr elite schools, the Top 10 sec sch!

Since young, i always have this stress...wan to excel and do well enuf to qualify for uni. The Goal was clear. Somehow, i juz knew i'm not the academically inclined student. Languages/Arts are my forte but certainly not Maths! Fr pri to sec, i din went to elite sch like my cousins...but at least a Top 20 sch.

Duno how much Sweat & Tears thru'out my learning years...i rmbr being a hardworking kid, but the reward was only above avg grades. Poly years were both good & bad, since i was competing among e brightest in the faculty too... Uni days turned out to be the best of my academic years, as i studied wif classmates who were few yrs older than me. They taught me the impt of work and play, cultivating a gd balance.

Being e only gal in my generation line... I wanna prove wat e boys can do, so can I ! Now, looking at my smarty younger bro who is going to hold 3 degrees, in his early 20s... i'm only relieve that i had passed that stage. Phew! All my elite cousins are now professionals in their arena and where am I??? SO, aft achieving my degree goal at 21 yr old, I still dun c wat i got out of it?

Anyway, I hope my youngest cousin can brave thru' her 3 yrs of Uni and realise her dream of going to the States for good.
