Fr City Hall to Esplanade...

The weather had changed from e prev wk's rainy to sunny! The daily dosage of news sounds depressing, from climate wreakage to grisly murders that made my hairs stand! So glad, i'm still alive to blog now! :-)

Yesterday, was out wif Clara hanging around city hall...This workaholic, still had work on mind while shopping, poor gal! We had Subway for lunch at her suggestion...yummy! After getting her stuff from Funan, i checked if ruby still coming to mit me. So coincidence! She & her fren also nearby, at Suntec...I also intended to go there, to chk out the travel fairs.

But alas! Due to e numerous travel ads, i got confused & there was no travel fair at suntec yday...ooh! As i walked to Marina Sq, then i noticed the extremely patient s'poreans queuing for the ASA travel fair! I wouldn't Q there...juz grabbed some brochures to see my korea deals. Then, Clara said she wished to try the Hokkaido Ice-Cream i rec, so bought her there. I was craving for ice-cream fr the day bef liao, keke! Really SHIOK! to eat my fav Blueberry-Strawberry flavour...thou' price had jacked up. It's the once-in-a-while treat for self lo ;-)

After some shopping around, & my dear shopaholic fren unable to net any bargains from Mango...we rested our tired feets at Carl Jr. Then, Ruby rang me to say, she had finished wif her shopping, coming over to mit me...Great! Cos got someone to dine wif me! 3 of us chatted for awhile bef Clara left for next date. Me & Ruby adjoined to Millenia Walk to see the SA Tour Fair, Wow! Also flooded wif ppl, & we got the itinerary.

Finally, decided it's dinner time and to my little dismay, the Old HK Cafe at marina sq was in the food court. As e menu dun look appetising to me... ended up order a lotus rice & siew mai fr the dim sum stall. The food court really crowded, aft much raceeing, i found the alfresco seats. As the NDP rehearsal was on-going then, many ppl flocked to the alfresco hoping to catch a view...but can't see lah. We decided to stroll down Esplanade aft the parade ended...to see the amazing SG's 1st NDP on-sea platform.

Esplanade was filled wif youngsters thronging e 2 outdoor concerts. I wish the waterfront can be more lively, if all the commercial bldgs r lit-up, esp during festive seasons!!! That's how HK's skyline look so vibrant, if it's a proven success, why can't we follow? At the Merlion's spot, we tried self-shot pic wif digi-cam...it's super-duper challening lo! Snap till my arms so tired...then a foreigner saw us, offered to help us take, haahaa! It's quite a warm surprise. But we still wan to succeed in our self-shot, so kept doing till we were satisfied lah! Got sense of satisfaction...most fun, when i try use my hp...but my hp no back-lit, so hv to ''borrow'' ruby's hp's light (shining fr below). i luv e ghostly looks, kekeke! On 3rd attempt, good shot!

HP self-shot, heehee!
As getting late & we were tired, we bid goodbye & look fwd to our NDP's date tis Thursday.

Sidetrack...Yippie! finally hv my own bedroom! Thou' still abit far fr my dream room...but at least hv my personal space! Over 20 yrs of anticipation...heehee!
