HK Trip Day 3 ~ Macau

Rise & shine again! Only caught a few hrs sleep as we need to head to macau today! It's my 1st time visiting macau & start thinking if it would be like the TVB drama '澳門街'?

We settled our breakfast at ''美都餐室'' & an old man served us...Damm, he veri attitude problem & pissed us... he used the kind of tone as if we can't afford & din wrote our full orders. Fine...we asked the lady boss instead to get permission to snap pics upstairs. We took some ''retro'' pics, hehe!

After breakfast, we headed to locate the HK-Macau Ferry Terminal at Tsim Sha Tsui. To our dismay, the ferry tickets were confusing despite our research...We paid for our ferry tickets & reviewed our macau itinerary again. The ferry was veri posh & luxurious thou we took economy seats. We slept during the 1hr journey. After clearing Macau's customs, we managed to pick up more detailed street maps...

Wow sei, we can't tahan the heat & blazing sun as macau don't have much shelter. We went to nearby Fisherman's Wharf & nothing much there. We walked on trying hard to locate the bus-stop to bring us to St Paul's Ruin. Omg! The bus-stop dun hv our bus number leh!! Arrg...i sugg we stopped for lunch since it's noon time. Went into 鼎泰豐 to eat our lunch sets & i had a stewed beef wif rice... while Mich ordered her 三杯雞 rice set. Finally, a resting pl wif air-con & i could feel my head heavy. We re-planned our itinerary & eliminated Taipa & Coloane, 2 small islands off Macau.

After lunch, the weather became cloudy & less direct sunlight... we walked to nearby 觀音像 to take pics. It's a gigantic one facing the sea! Afterwhich, we went to board a bus to Ah-Ma Temple - 媽閣廟 & the journey was veri long. It's a historial temple, so juz popped by to take a look. We headed back to Ruins of St.Paul's - 大三巴牌坊 in late afternoon. Posed some pics at this famous wall, which was previously a church destroyed by fire in 1835...had since became a landmark in Macau. We could even climbed up to the 2nd level of the Wall to see a diff view!

Upon descending, we went shopped for some local food stuff at '咀香園餅家'. Tried their mini almond cookies, delicious...juz bought some to bring home munch. We slowly walked thru the Senado Square, which was their shopping area & being so tired, we juz settled for dinner at a tiny corner cafe. I ordered the Pork Chop Rice served wif corn gravy.

After dinner, we went in search of the muscial fountain at 西彎湖 but had problems locating it. From our research, shld hav a show at 7.30pm. Finally...located it but to our dismay, the area was under construction & as our watched ticked to 7.30pm, no signs of the fountain show! Fine lo... i set up my tripod to capture the colourful lights from the casinos. The rest of the nite was snapping away as the lights were really nice... we din enter the casino as need to search bags & we were dead tired.

As our returning ferry only depart at 11.15pm... we shopped at Yaohan supermarket near the ferry terminal. Oh no...we went 'siao' at the supermkt cos our trolley were filled wif diff flavours of '出前一丁' 面 & 通粉. After footing our bills, we dragged our tired feets to the ferry terminal & upon boarding the ferry... it started to rain! Heng ah!

An hour later, back in HK, we realised there's no more MTR svc at 12.30am. I sugg to take cab home but Mich wanted to save $, so we boarded the mini-bus...which wrote heading MongKok. Pretty stressed as we wonder where to alight, luckily i asked at right point in time and we managed to reach hotel safely.
