Continuing fr last blog... we proceeded wif our KTV plans today! It's good that tis new partyworld @ Liang Court open at 2pm, so we could have earlier dinner! When ruby & I were ushered into Room 8, we were astonished! Gasp! Besides this room was big, it had controllable lightings...which include Disco & Laser effects lightings! We could also choose to dim the lights or brighten the whole room. The only fall-back was the central-controlled air-con & it's bloody cold after awhile!
Juz as we started filling up the songs dedication pages... YX arrived. We gals got to sing quite a number of songs while he was munching his Subway sandwich, keke! Ruby was thrilled to find some new songs and she commented the songs update so fast wo... as she was at the IB outlet the prev wk & dun see these new songs. So that made her $ spent today worthwhile lah! On the other hand, I was excited to find 李久哲 《死结》 as the prev mth dun hv this MTV! A pity was dun hv S.H.E new songs 《安静了》 & 《沿海公路的出口》 yet :(
Welcome our new ktv khaki, YX... who had been nagging us to go KTV tog for some time, haha! But too bad, his schedule couldn't fit us the last round. Quoting ruby... she discover new songs when hv new singing partner! Thou YX admit his chinese was lousy but he does compensate wif quite a good vocal... he could still calmly sing ''pass'' some wrong words, steady wo! When he sang 郑中基 《怪胎》, i joked that the canto version 《无赖》 suits him better, hehe!
Oh yeah! Happy to sing the few key songs from the drama 《命中注定我爱你》, esp 《半情歌》 & 《心愿便利贴》 ^o^ From the MVs, can 回味经典镜头, keke! Ruby & I also had renditions of some light-hearted songs such as 五月天 《开天窗》，阿信 + 叮当 《走火入魔》。 There's an MV which was veri touching & immersed all of us ~ 泳儿's version for tvb drama 《最美丽的第七天》 ... the MV showed a blind guy walking & the gal walked past him. In fact 7 days ago, this gal was blind & she met a guy she like... at the end of the MV, it turned out that the guy love her so much as to forgo his own sight & gave her his corneas! The MV certainly brings out the saddness of this song!
4 hrs of ktv-ing whizzed thru quickly & i was totally famished! We were surprised to get xtra 15mins as the counter suddenly jumped! Earlier enquiry was told we couldn't hv the 4hrs counted fr the time we stepped in. So i planned to max the time by singing 古巨基 《劲歌经曲2 - 情歌王》 as this is a 12 min song!!! wohoho! But really shiok & sang till high!
Dinner was a relatively unplanned place... supp wan drive to East Coast HK Cafe but i duno how to give YX the directions. We ended up at the former Big Splash at East Coast Park. As there's not much food variety besides fast food or Sushi Tei, we settled for a high class kopitiam. I had nasi lemak while they had redang chix... all the way to east coast!!! But the alfresco ambience was gd! Had never been to this part of east coast park & probably will explore further next time, heehee =)
