It's a foodie weekend ;p Have a tot to eat some sinful food wif my buddy, ruby... where to have cheap & gd food? Did some research online but still couldn't conclude a satisfactory place... Well, a sudden tot came to my mind. We could go venture Chinatown Hawker Centre! So we met up on sat evening & got a table pretty soon. Wif a craving for char kway teow recently, decided to juz try the stall near where we sat.
While i waited for our char kway teow, ruby walked around to racee what other good food to try? Bef long, she told me there's a super long Q stall selling yam cake & she went to order. When our yam cake arrived, we tucked in & it's really yummy wo! Quite a big portion for 2 bucks :) Wa lau, our char kway teow really took a long time & by the time it arrived, we were disappointed lo...where's the fish cake & lap cheong (chinese sausage) inside? can't see any! As the aunty at the next table commented, we r more of eating bean sprouts than kway teow! :( Lastly, i suggested we hav some chwee kuay, i had targeted the Bedok Chwee Kuay stall since i sat down, hehe! After our satisfactory dinner, i sugg we shld round up wif a dessert ... so we strolled to People's Park Ctr. But alas! my fav dessert stall had closed & we could only settle for it's neighbouring dessert shop ~ 糖潮. Without 2nd tots, we unaimously voted for the Mango Showhand! Woo! Quite a huge serving wif tons of icing, surrounded wif slices of mango & a vanilla ice cream topped it!
After the dessert, both of us were really full! So, we stroll down to Clarke Quay... tink i'm bringing ruby for a chinatown to clarke quay walk, keke! After window shopping at Central, we decided to pop by to Liang Court. But i'm dismay tat it's veri much under renovation! Well, the only gd thing was we found the newly open branch of Partyworld! Without much tots, ruby initiated tat we shld 'jio' Zf & YX for ktv tml! Too bad, Zf couldn't make it but we decide to proceed wif our plan wif YX!
Overall, it's a budget (only spent $6 each) & yet satisfying foodies' dinner...haha!
