TGIF! Happily dressed in my jean & tee as i strolled into ofc...then i looked ard, eh? how come my teammates r not wearing jeans leh? I tot every 3rd Fri of the mth is Jeans Day? But it still din bother me as i'm not in a working mood, haha! Later then i discovered i 摆乌龙, only can wear jeans upon receiving email announcment, keke!
Anyway, i was looking forward to our team's dinner. It's on co's budget wo -- means can hv a feast again! Our initial agreed makan pl was Jumbo seafood, but dunno y Joshua - my boss chg it to Sakura buffet :( It's a downgrade wo...thou we hav $40 budget per pax. Josh even told us quickly finish our wrk, target 2 leave ofc at 6pm! However, elene faced some issues at day-end, so 6 of us went to Orchard Shopping Ctr first. In fact, me & a couple of my colleagues were famished by then. It was my first time there, thou i had heard of this pl bef - serving hala buffet.
There was a wide array of food, abit of everything... ranging fr grilled meats, jap sushi to chinese dim sum. There was also the normal dishes like fried rice & dishes. I got myself a serving of siew mai, beancurd roll, sushi, baked oyster wif cheese, pizza. Teresa got a big plate of sashimi & could see that she ate tt mostly thru e whole dinner. LingEn, Emily they ordered grilled dory fish. I also tried half bowl of Shark's fins soup, omg! it's sooo starchy & only hv thin shreds of chicken, not sharks' fins! Luckily, i din took whole bowl. The chawanmushi tasted more like our usual steam egg! Jasmine bought back a big plate of fried fritters...aiyo! That's the prob wif buffet, there's an over-piling of food on the table!
Thou Jasmine got the food out of gd intention, she veri chiam as kana shoot by Lip Chee... well, both of them r forever bickering (in joking manner). The joke began when the guys also couldn't stomach the plate of fritters...btw, there's only 3 guys out of 11 of us. When that plate of fritters passed back to Jasmine, she had to 'beg' us helped to finish up. I veri 讲义气 & was e 1st to help her eat one prawn fritter, heehee! Then, we ruled that each gal hv to eat one fritter. LingEn the joker, while passing back e plate to Jasmine, spilled off a few fritters on the floor!!! We all busted into laughter as Jasmine gave a stunned & 可怜 look...haiz, 好人难做呀！LingEn even tried to hide a couple of fritters into this clam shell...so hilarious LoL. This whole episode made me laughed to tears & all of us laughed till buay tahan!

I saw XiaoEn, LingEn, Teresa returned wif some desserts. LingEn, being the youngest gal...kept saying she wan eat ice-cream, really like little kid. Janice & I also went to the desserts section to chk out. We decided to share some watermelons, grapes, orea cheesecake & doriyaki (叮当's fav food aka 铜锣烧）. The orea cheesecake sucks! Teresa also tried tt & complained like mad, giving harsh critisms. The doriyaki was v nice and the red bean filling not too sweet. Ultimately, LingEn rec us try the orange sherbet which she said v nice. By e time i went to get some ice-cream, little was left. I like the orange & lime sherbet...the lime sherbet tasted like the 70 cents lime & vanilla popiscle. The cookies & cream was gd too!
Towards end of buffet, we were deciding bet ktv or movie. As majority voted for Ktv, i was bz dialing out Partyworld outlets ~ Orchard, Cuppage, IB branches nearby. Wow lau, their lines really hot, as too last min, orchard & IB only hv rm near 11pm! Cuppage had no ans so we decided stroll there to chk-out! To our dismay, it was closed for air-con reno aft i asked the security. Immed, a couple of them sugg Chinatown br & luckily we managed to book (heng, i had a whole list of their br tel in my bag!). We shared cab & reached at 10pm. We had a 4hr package for 7 of us. Josh, Kelvin, LingEn din join us.
I was surprised that the young ones noe how to sing older songs vs new songs! I dueted F.I.R 《天天夜夜》 wif Teresa, Jay's 《珊瑚海》 wif XiaoEn... a song which i long time din sing! It was pretty gd as XiaoEn took on Lara's part for 《珊瑚海》. Another old duet which i used to sing ~ 《广岛之恋》 was sang wif Emily. I realized these gals r able to hit high keys! I like Teresa's rendition of 《一个人生活》. Janice even more cute - mommy of a 6yr old, came to me ask if i noe Beyond's song? So i sang my fav 《海阔天空》 for her. Janice was thrilled when saw me dedicated 《爱和承诺》，so we sang tt tog.

When i sang Jacky Cheung's 《你的名字，我的姓氏》，Jasmine was thrilled, i was surprised leh! Cos as far as i noe, she duno canto but she like tis song wo! Even more happy 2 noe, Teresa like Twin's 《死性不改》, & we had gd chemisty singing this duet too! It's quite hard 2 find ppl who sing canto amongst my frens. Lip Chee sang a few 五月天 songs & I duet 《私奔到月球》 wif him. Both of us first try at JJ's new song 《期待你的爱》, the solo ver of 《期待爱》, he even harmonised for me... so make great effects! I like this song's 节奏 & light-heartedness!
Fr this ktv session, my first outing wif them allowed me to know them abit more. Despite our age differences, wif most of them being fresh grads... music indeed transcened boundaries. Nearing 2 a.m, the zzz monster had hit Teresa & Jasmine, heheh! While I was still so engergetic, finishing the nite wif 《终生美丽》 ^o^
