Dim Sum @ Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restaurant

Having heard & read some reviews abt Imperial Treasure, i was wondering if the food is good. I only knew that the owner is the bro-in-law of crystal jade's boss & these 2 restaurants were direct rivals. As my family's usual dim sum place is at Harbour City Restaurant, i decided to 'psycho' them to try a new place! The problem is they r not so adventurous to food...so hav to stick to chinese food, haiz.

Heng, i made reservation ahead as upon arrival at 1230pm, still hav to wait for them to lay the table. The menus mainly showed the a la carte dishes, shanghai style. Luckily, they actually served both cantonese & shanghai dim sum on separate order forms! There's also a list for noodles & congee. With the wide variety of dim sum to select, we see till blur!

My bro quicky tick those he wan & i dunno y he chose 3 diff kinds of 腸粉 , which i tink puzzled the waitress too lo! The waitress even cfm if we ordered the BBQ pork, Beef & Scallop - 3 diff types of 腸粉, haha! Bef i went, i was determined to try the Roast Goose! Cos i never eaten bef & it's supp one of its 招牌菜. It's quite pricey for the roast goose, we ordered a small one ($18) & was served tis 燒鵝腿 . The skin was really crispy & i dipped alot of the sweet & sour sauce to go wif, my fav! There's virtually not much fats too! I wished to eat that again!

As u can see fr the pics, we also had 上海小龍包, the one in soup is 魚翅灌湯餃, 鮮蝦腐皮卷, 燒買, 鍋貼, 皮蛋瘦肉粥. I find the 腸粉 was not tasty enuf, probably is due to the soya sauce used which is not fragrant & salty enuf ba... The rest of the dim sum have standard. However, the best is still the roast goose, waahaaa! The prices were decent & total bill came to ard $80 for the 4 of us. The next time i return to Imperial Treasure, i will like to try its 菠羅叉燒包! Cos i yet to find a really tasty version in sg! How i missed Hong Kong's ones!

The joke of the day was letting mom practiced using my digi cam & she even held it the other way, waahaaa! The scene was so hilarious till my dad, bro & i laughed till tears lo!
