St James PowerStation!

Yesterday evening, had an impromptu nite out wif shelia & dandy. Upon arriving at Food Street, Chinatown...me & sheila went to look for seats. We found a table and stood there discussing what food to order. Suddenly, an auntie juz sat down at our table, without asking! Wow lau! I was infuriated and she talked to me in cantonese...saying she got this table 1st but walked off to order food & seeing none of us sat there, she sat down lo! Hey! Like that also CAN? I asked her back in canto, i dun see any bags at this table. She still dared said, only us rite? (refering to us 2 gals). I said, 'No, I still have frens coming'. She still sat there, refused to leave. Then, sheila told me no point talking to such ppl. Such unreasonable person, made us 不爽, thinking she got an edge cos she's more senior? What has the world become huh??

Good thing was, the satay & fried kway teow appeased my anger after the episode. hmpf! After makan, we went to St.James to meet dandy's frens. Finally, i can go to the most talk about happening place! But dandy said they are not gg into 'Dragonfly', but another of its outlet...Cos' i heard so much from frens abt 'Dragonfly', will like to take a look. Then, sheila said she will bring me there after we settle down in the jazz pub! The jazz pub had classy decor, jiffed up with a live band & a good looking caucasian male singer.

After some small talk, me & sheila roamed off to Dragonfly! Wow! As expected, the place was packed but we managed to squeeze to the stage-front. I observed the mixture of ppl at Dragonfly varied from 20s to 50s & from diff social classes. The live band there Rocks! They played & perfomed latest chinese pop to canto oldies and english songs! I admired how they played the electric guitars & the young guys sang on stage had good vocals. If they participate in SuperStars, can be finalists! One of the singers even resembled SuperStar's winner, Darren Tan. William Scorpion (key singer) displayed strong showmanship, able to sing in diff lang and appeared in nice costumes.

Me & Sheila had a good time enjoying, as it's like a mini concert, with booming sound systems. I liked the duet between William Scorpion & one of the guys, sang 《千里之外》, complete with authentic chinese costumes & 小倩style umbrella. Ultimately, the best song which i went...wooo! was my fav Beyond's 《海阔天空》. We sang along with the band and the guitarist was strumming on a luminous electric guitar! Cool! Also, heard some canto oldies i had not expect to hear there! ahah! Now, i know why this is the most in-place, maybe in our little town, currently there is a lack of such clubbing place to satisfy this segment of clubbers.
