This Chinese New Year has some significance as my nieces & nephew will be back home! Last yr was a total bored since Matthias & Shannon were spending their CNY in Shanghai (where they r staying) & Zoe was living in Cambridge wif her parents.
Finally, they are all back in the year of the Rabbit! My family usually have a combine reunion dinner at the neighbourhood restaurant wif my 2nd uncle's family... so i got to dine wif the 3 little ones! Matt was the only one i saw last year, when he did his SpiderBoy stunt! Wif the addition of Shannon, their mom had stopped updating their blog too :(
We arrived at the restaurant tog wif RJ's family & saw how tall Zoe had grown! Perhaps that's the feeling one gets when u dun see the kid often & then suddenly he/she got a spurt growth! haha! She's so shy & kept hugging ard the legs of her daddy & mommy...
When YJ's family came in tow wif Matt & Shannon... I juz couldn't help take out my cam & try to capture their candid shots! haha! Gosh, my memory of Shannon was when she's a new born thou i saw some pics of her bef age 1... Now, she's 18mths wif a china-doll looks...her hair is so long too! Initially she was so quiet & looks so 乖, but not before long she began to move alot in her baby-chair & cries alot! Matt was also veri mischievious & refused to sit down... He even carried his Mickey Mouse school-bag along! Guess wat? when he opened his bag, he took out his collection of Thomas & Trains lor! He really love his 'Thomas' so much!
Matt enjoyed eating the sweet & sour pork so much, he even sneakily used his toothpick to 'steal' the last piece fr his mom's plate! haha! Then, when his grandma went to the washroom, he quickly stood up to grab her glass of orange juice! Cos his mom forbidded him fr taking soft drinks, haha! Zoe was the most obedient sitting next to her mom... and only after warm-up, i could strike up a conversation wif her!
The reunion dinner was fun becos' of the kids...

The 1st day of the Lunar New Year & we awaited my 2nd uncle's family to arrive... The previous nite's dinner proved to be a good foundation as they were already warmed up to our faces. Zoe arrived in her 'Little Princess' looks... in pinky shades & a nice necklace. Then, the little terrors arrived... haha! Shannon was dressed in her scottish dress... while Matt was in shirt & jeans. Wow, today Matt din bring his 'Thomas', but a remote control car! I bet he would immediately take his driving lesson once he turned 18!

When i asked the two older kids if they wan Yakult, surprised that Zoe was not interested! Matt was so happy to get his Yakult & insisted to 'straw' his own bottle... as if i would take away! keke! Then, my time to 'bribe' the kids... as I dished out a pack to Zoe & Matt respectively. I've got Zoe the Hello Kitty Pokey, turned out to be strawberry flavour... & Matt received the Thomas & Train Pokey (choc flavour). The kids were excited when opening their respective packs! Shannon got to eat both flavour, fr her bro & her cousin... hehe! Today, I'm also smart enuf to shut my room, scared to be invaded by the little terrors!

When we went visiting to the next 3 venues at my uncle & aunties' houses... I remained close to the kids & this actually worked! When Matt wanted to eat sweets which his mom insisted that he surrender them... he cheekily stuff them in his pockets, haha! Really buay tahan! Then, when i asked him to give me the sweet, he actually passed it to me! Of course, tog wif a cheeky grin ^o^ His stunts were really unpredictable... the best was he suddenly ran to me & called me 姑姑, which he refused to do so last nite! Then, my 姑姑 wana make him called her 姑婆, he simply refused & cheekily repeated 姑姑 for at least 10x! Really funny! I joked, wah! in that case, i gotta buy 4-D liao! When i had a close-up look at Matt, i realised he got really long nice eyelashes! It certainly make girls jealous manz! (this reminded me of Cherie's daug ~ Adrienne who also pride herself of her long lashes... i always tot Matt & Adri will be an interesting pair since both r of the same age)

Then, Zoe drew a car for Matt & sweetly gave him the little piece of notepad... Matt actually held in his hands & looked at it for a long time... both r so cute! Shannon loves to eat too & still cries alot in mommy's arms. But in the afternoon, she sprang little surprise too! She suddenly allowed me to carry her! Matt also wan me to carry him but he proved to be too heavy to carry for long! At my cousin Charissa's house, Shannon walked up the stairs & I played peek-a-boo wif her & she broke out into her smiles... Shannon has her sweet side when she's not a cry-baby, as she even patted her bro to sleep!
Time really flies when entertaining the kids... really need lotsa of energy, patience & love for them... Wonder how would they be when we mit the next round? I guess shannon shld chg the most? haha!
