An Unusual Mid-Autumn。。。

It's October, time seems to be breezing thru'! Today is my fav chinese festival ~ Mid-Autumn Festival but somehow this year, i did not organise any lantern-walks wif my buddies. Previous years, i will be enthusiastically scouting for my paper lantern & yes, it gotta be a doraemon one!

This year, i have a more pressing mission to accomplish. Recently, i boldly sent out appeal emails to a grp of frens, asking them to donate towards my cause, hoping to pool some funds for dylan & his family to tide over this period. Upon sending the email, my hopes began to diminish as it gets closer to the 1 oct deadline i set. This project had made me realised that s'poreans are a pragmatic bunch, thou' i wish to believe that there are some samaritians out there.  Perhaps when one grows up & gets embroiled in the rat-race, u tend to neglect many things....while chasing your 'cheese'!  Nevertheless, i suddenly see light at the end of the tunnel, when one of my good frens told me that she's gg to donate. I'm really grateful to her as every cent means alot to dylan & family.

Today, i got dylan a belated children's day gift ~ a doraemon coin bank. He luv doraemon too & he was about to take his nap when i reach his place. He broke out in his cheeky grin when he saw his gift! I showed him how to place a coin thru' the slit & he learned that immediately! I tried to trick him by hiding some of my coins & only place 1 coin for him, he saw thru' my trick & wanted to grab the rest of my coins, not the Only one! Boy, he's simply too smart! I was told that he can differentiate the dollars denomination by choosing a 10 bucks over a 2 bucks. However,  he have to play catch-up in the lang dept as he still couldn't speak simple words. After some time, i bid goodbye to him & he actually wanted Hi-Five wif me! haha!

The skies were gloomy & overcast thru'out the afternoon. At nite, I tot that my family could immerse in some festive cheer at Vivo's sky garden... but alas! It was raining! All chances of sighting the lunar 15th full moon was dashed! Guess wat? It's supposedly one of the brightest full moon this century in china & HK, but we din get to see! Ok, so i din miss much by not getting my lantern this year.
