Decided to intro MOF to my parents... cos they are so used to either chinese or western food only, always not adventurous enuf to go for jap food. Mommy mentioned that the jap set meals we had in bangkok were gd, so i tot of MOF.
Got my usual balcony seats at MOF, Bugis outlet... i've a prob at MOF, which is undecided which to order due to its wide variety, haha! But tis time round, i set my sights on the Shabu Shabu, the menu stated it's New Zealand air flown beef, Woo! Seems healthy too, not deep fried. I rec my parents the Unagi & Salmon Sets.
When my set arrive, the beef really looks great! u see, i'm a beef lover... haha! The potato salad & accompanying apple sauce were nice. Somehow the apple sauce made a great condiment for the nicely slice beef! My dinner ended wif their renowed dessert ~ Shira Kuri Mitsu (mix fruits & jelly wif soft serve ice cream).
On Tues, met Clara for lunch at Raffles City, Din Tai Fung. Both of us were stuck by the torrential afternoon rain! Poor us! When we got to the restaurant, both of us were damm hungry! Snappily, we ordered the 小笼包 + 拉面 ... yum yum, really tasty & satisfying!
