In view of the current economic situation, i decide to share some personal views on how you can stretch your dollar, hehe! Here it goes...
Let's start from FOOD since our fav past-time is eating ... there are actually value for money eating places around town.
1) Golden Shoe Market (Raffles Place MRT), the economy rice sells ANY 3 dishes for $2.00. Alternatively, u can have 4 dishes for $2.50. Head to 2nd level of the double storey market... u can find a few economy rice stalls. There are also nasi lemak stalls which attract long Q too.
2) Chinatown Complex Food Centre (Chinatown NEL Station), there is a $1 fruit juice stall. I also enjoy the $2 yam cake, u can opt for yam cake + rice roll (猪肠粉) also $2 only! This yam cake stall is #02-166, 佳记. Alot of cheap & good food here!
3) Hong Lim Food Centre (Clarke Quay Station/Chinatown Station). My fav here would be the wanton mee stall ~ Ji Ji wanton mee. Starting from $2, it have a decent portion if u r average eater... but i usually upsize to $2.50, so hv more wanton...yum yum! Talk abt it, i'm craving for it now, used to have it at least once a week when my office was nearby! Have to be patient as the Q is veri long during lunch hour. But serving is consider fast liao!
