Ruby proposed we have KTV today... wif e tot of watching e new drama on time 2nite, I decided to try out nearby Partyworld Oriental.
It was pouring heavily, while YX drove me to pick up ruby at outram... the best part was after a U-turn, he by-pass the building! End up, drove to Tg Pagar & had a detour, haha! So, after our merry go round, I got off first to get a ktv room. To my surprise, there was no one in sight at the main counter...but guess wat, when the waitress showed me over, i realised tt person was probably dozing off behind e counter. That time was only 2.30pm, they juz opened not long!
It seems veri quiet at tis outlet & i got a room... by the time Ruby & YX joined in, i had another horrible experience. The mic was sticky & certainly a yucky feeling lo! Gosh! When i popped by e washroom, it was ermm... eerie feel. Subsequent toilet visits, i asked ruby tog... she also was aghasted! Ok, we shall return to our usual outlet in future...
Not in tip top singing condition today + the environment...our ambience seems 'dark'. Ruby commented how come our usually long dedication pages r so empty today, haha! YX also funny de, hv to help him 点歌, cos he can't rmbr song titles! wahaha! We started off wif the new songs... I am glad there's 王力宏 《心跳》 & 《Everything》 ... juz that dun hv his new duet.
One of the highlights today was YX's 深情演绎 of a canto song. Cos he saw me sang 许志安 《一步一生》，it reminded him of another andy hui's song 《心血》. It was a 1996 song, can see from the MTV how young Andy Hui was then...hehe! I never heard of this canto song...but when YX sang it, me & ruby listened attentively....we were touched manz! Such a saddie song lo...can make one cry! The usual joker turned serious 'singer' told us tis was a song his ex liked....made us wonder if he 触景伤情？ But really gd till i almost wanted request an encore! Shld hv video that to show u all... keke!
Since the emotions had been built up... i decided to continue wif saddie songs... I sang two of Lee Hom's 《你不在》+ 《爱错》. It's veri easy to get into the 'feel' of the songs, partly due to pre-build up of emotions liao & sad MVs watched last nite. There was a joke from our joker again...he wanna sing A*Mei's songs... i suggested that he lower at least 1 or 2 keys, he insisted shld UP keys instead...end up he couldn't catch the key, waahaa! Kanna suan lo! Our finale was a duet we all like 《一眼瞬间》, which we sang wif gusto! Haha! Plus brave YX sang wif all emo... 《背叛》 (clap clap! :p)
