Gosh, duno why lately i got insomia? (isit aft i laugh at Clara for her insomia, & this is my retribution?)
I forced myself to wake up damm early today, juz to have ample time to go for my intv. Got abit anxious, when i stood at the road & waited for a cab in vain...Heng! Aft 10mins of agony, a cab U-turn over for me. In my anxiety, i almost gave wrong addr lo! Mistaken Andrew Rd for Anderson Rd...let taxi uncle had a chance to tease me, haahaa! The malay uncle also veri funny, when he knew that i'm gg Mediacorp tv station, ask me if i'm gg to appear on TV tonite. If so, he will watch out for me, wahaha! I replied gamely, 'I wish lah', but juz gg intv for a job. He even commented i looked juz out of sch.
Passed Novena junction, both of us heard a radio broadcast that a car had stalled nearby. But luckily, we exited via another rd & din got stuck in traffic jam. Uncle assured me we gonna reach by 830am, thou i'm supp be there at 9am. It's my 1st time gg to Mediacorp & according to map, it's location is 'ulu'. The pl is so huge, uncle asked me where to alight? I only know i'm supp to report to TV bldg 1. So, he drove me to TV Gate & i chk wif the security bef driving back to Main Reception. Uncle really nice, even wished me gd luck! haahaa!
When i went up the 2nd level to their reception to obtain a visitor pass, the receptionist told me to follow the gal who juz walked off, heading for same venue. So i hurried to catch hold of her, asking if she gg same ofc. Woo...we hit off quite well. The funny thing was i struck a conversation in Eng & switched to mandarin when i tot she's fr china. Surprisingly, she's fr JB & she also dun quite believe i'm S'porean. Hmm, forget ask her then wat nationality she tink i'm, hee? Cos she said those S'poreans she knew speak poor chinese (oh my!)but my chinese sound quite good (*brimming inside*).
As we reached the bldg, abit lost too...aiyo, the pl like a maze leh! There's 2 sides to the ofc, we went into one but no reception wo. Since it's early, we sat at the sofa & chatted. Then, I tot better not...maybe go chk out e opp ofc too. Heng, i made rite choice cos i found the tiny HR ofc. We were instructed to wait, so we cond't chit-chat. Interestingly, both of us had same fear of duno how to write the chinese words later...however, u know wat? The gal told me her interest is composing 小说 on her blog, Gasp!!! (I almost fainted!) Immed, i knew she's a strong contender for e job.
At 9am, we were ushered to a tiny room & issued the test paper. Omg! I nearly fell off my chair at the over 20 questions...NOW, i finally understood y gave me 2.5hr, ahhh! The Qs were categorised into Movies, Music & TV. I wrote till my hand ache & stuck at half of the Qs. The Qs were veri chim as u had to write about chinese movies directors, Chinese/Jap/Korean actors. Even had to write movie review, that part at least i could manage a short para. As for music, my wild guess on naming the various chi music awards pretty rite, phew! Well, the last part on TV...i din expect wld stump me so much. I needed to name the 3 judges for Star Search 07? Aiya, i shld had watch tt but find no handsome guys, i gave up aft 1st ep.
Anyway, i surrendered 10mins bef time's up & missing out some Q, which really drew a blank :( Really wonder wat's their passing mark? Can i heng heng make it to next stage?
