Jotted out of my sleep at 9am tis morning! Arrg! The town council had too much $ to spare...our area had exterior refurbishment. The irritating drilling was right outside my doorsteps! They r supp to upgrade e lifts, but instead were re-cementing the staircases. Duno what they thinking leh...
Anyway, i was so irritated wif the noise & the fuzzy air had caused me sinus these few days. I decided to utilise my movie coupon (fr drinking Peel Fresh, hehe!) to catch an aftn movie. The coupon's T&C indicated can redeem free movie tic if bet mon to thurs at Cathay cineplexes. So, i happily rushed to eat my lunch & zoomed out for the 1pm show.
Arrived 5mins to 1pm at Orchard Cineleisure...enquired at e box office abt using my coupon. Got a disappt reply...can only get the $1 off + a complimentary tic for next movie (also no free list kind). I ponder for a couple of mins if shld proceed to watch. Ok lor, since i'm here. To my surprise, Transformers, which alreadi screened for 3 wkends, had ltd seats to select from!! Gasp, it's a wkday leh!
Oh, it's a smaller theatre, wif some foreigners...prob they also find Sg nothing to shop, so ended up in movie theatre, haha! The movie was action-packed right from the start. Bravo! Cos i've no patience for draggy shows! The CGI effects were fantastic...no wonder it broke Spideman's box office. Hmm, no handsome cast but the movie did made me ponder... 'the human race is so weak, if doomsday really arrived, as in many movies...abt invasion or natural disasters tt wipe out the human race, we sure be lost' Oh, tis had been a topic among my schfrens in poly bef... i hope won't live till tt day :(
After e movie, i saw a toy shop in Cineleisure selling lots of Transformers, haha! Really smart to cash in on e movie. Then, i roamed ard the area... Gasp, Heeren stores upstairs had transformed drastically! Most tiny outlets were gone, left 77 Street & couple more. Wat a boring mall? I saw the S'pore tourism station like quite packed... i bet many tourists find Orchard hav nothing much to offer?
My only consolation was returing back to Cine to buy Subway sandwich for dinner! Long time din eat liao...my fav 'Cheese n Steak', topped wif myo...got 10% disc if produce movie tic-stub u know? (only avail at tis outlet)
Finally escaped tis aftn's noise pollution...but wat abt tml? haiz :(
