LiTtle KnOwn SiDe oF ME!

I was packing & found one of my childhood sketchbook...hohoho! yup! i wld keep all my 作品. I luv to draw since young but had not been doing it for ages...

I remembered attending art classes at 6 yrs old... the teacher would draw & fill the whole white-board & got us to replicate on our own drawing block. Perhaps, that was when i nurture my talent, heehee!

Reading manga (comics) was also my once upon a time interest... so u see my drawing was based on my fav DragonBall 《七龙朱》 character 吾空！

As i went on to sec school, i was even more into manga, thanks to my classmate, sitting near me, who was a manga fan! We even dreamt of opening our comic store! But alas, it din materialise... In fact, those who buy manga would know it's a costly hobby. By the time, u own the whole set, alreadi burn a hole in your pockets! So, i mostly rented fr 2nd-hand book-store, haha!

I was chasing 'Ranma' 《乱马》 then... so i drew this & posted to the students' papers 《星期五周报》 & waited for 1 yr (1998) to see it being published... juz to c how it wld be graded. Missed 2 points, to being awarded.

In 1999, i drew another character 'Dectective Conan' as i luv to crack its cases while reading the 推理漫画. It's really exciting to stimulate my detective instincts, kekeke! This time round, also waited for 1 yr to see it published. For both pics i sent in return envelopes to get back my originals! This time round, i was thrilled to see my work published & scored exactly 80 points to be awarded $10 稿费. The $ was insignificant but it was rewarding to see own's improvement & recognition!

Actually, few yrs ago i had a ‘突破' when i created my own TVB characters, cartoonising my fav dramas characters... esp luv the 《衝上雲霄》 & 《金牌冰人》 char i drew, so cute!! But too bad, i had no copies as it was a bday gift for a fren... sob sob! Regretted why din take a shot of my 得意作品？ :(
