Lazy Weekend & Dining @ Clarke Quay...

A lazy wkend...finally some cooling days wif rain! Yesteday, spent whole aftn at ruby's house, finally got chance to eat her mom's fried bee hoon again! haha! aunty veri generous, even made fried chix wings, fish balls & sotong balls etc... yummy! We used to go either her hse or mine to do projects in sch days... her mom's fried bee hoon is tasty!

Travelled all the way on NEL to ruby's hse to discuss abt our korea trip. Know that we veri kiasu, thou still hv 5mths away...but being backpacking, need to do more homework. ZF was v late as she went ofc bef coming... It was more of a chit chat & net surfing aftn as the rain pattered down. By the time ZF arrived, the rain had stopped & she goofed down the bee hoon, haha!

By 7.30pm, i was nagging at the gals to go dinner! We went to Clarke Quay, Central Mall. Had wanted to eat at Waraku but long Q wo... we walked around & discovered Ma Maison (#03-96), a Jap western restaurant. This cosy restaurant was pretty small & seemed high class... but when we flipped the menu, the prices were decent, ave $20. So, we got a Q no and got a table in 20min. We ordered their chef's recommendations ~ 1 Large Hamburger Steak & an Omu rice wif ketchup. Since the gals were not so hungry, the portions were sufficient. I was the hungry gal who ate a big portion, kekeke!

Omu Rice with Ketchup

Can see the rice inside? keke!
Wow! the hamburger steak was juicy & didn't taste abit like beef! Being a beef lover, i sure would recommend this! Oh ya, we opted for brown sauce to go wif...another choice was Jap sauce. As for the Omu rice, it's omelette wrapping the rice, wif chix bits ... Damm yummy lo! The rice was veri soft... Besides the food, the ambience was good... each table had a diff design lamp & some cute antiques around the restaurant. For billing, each table will receive an antique key to bring to cashier...

Large Hamburger Steak, topped wif a fried egg!

This Key is heavy! For billing purpose, cool rite?
We strolled around Clarke Quay to enjoy the nite scene as it was bustling wif ppl... before long, we felt a drizzle... but we still took a couple of shots. Suddenly, heavy rain came & we ran for shelter, haahaa! As the rain was extremely heavy, we stopped for a drink & chat bef heading home.
