My alarm rang at 4am! Yeah! Got up to get ready to head to airport...my flight was extremely early at 6.45am. Din expect the sky started to rain when i left my hse & was lucky enuf to flag down a cab fast. Abt 5am, was at the airport & looked for my travel partner, Michelle.
As we had no chk-in baggages, we went into the chk-in area veri fast...but due to the tightened security chks recently, there were many rounds of chks! When i was at the departure gate, the airport police kept looking at my passport...then looked at me again?? He asked me how come i looked younger now vs my pp photo? haahaa! Wat's the secret? That's a good one...
Inside, had 2 more rounds of security chks & i breezed thru'...hmm, isit i got e ''i'm innocent looks''? Cos my fren kept being stopped to open her bags to chk wo...kekeke! We happily boarded the United Airlines aircraft...Abt to depart time, an announcement req us to leave the plane for aircraft maint!!! Sharks! I dozed off at the waiting lounge as our flight was re-schd to 8.15am! By the time, my flight took off was nearing 9am liao! Omg! Super pissed as i woke up so early...
By the time we chk-in at our hotel ~ 'Evergreen' in Kowloon, Jordan, it's 2.30pm. Headed off to look for a 茶餐廳 which TVB filmed some dramas there...but failed to locate it & ended up in a cafe called ''Happy Cafe'' for a late lunch. Next stop was 黃大仙廟 to show Michelle around...After a quick temple tour, we took the MTR to Mongkok to walk around & see the Ladies' Mkt. The area was jostling with crowd as we realised that it was a PH, their ''佛旦''. We had a quick dinner at Mongkok area & i ate the ''叉燒蛋飯''.
We headed to the MTR & took the train to Tsim Sha Tsui to switch to railway to Hung Hom KCR. The Coliseum was situated at Hung Hom....Yes! Finally we reached there... Mich went to bought her Sammi's stuff, then realised there's no plastic bag to provided. If wan, have to pay extra for a sammi bag...well, we saw a aunty selling light sticks & asked her if she had a plastic bag & we would buy from her lo.
Yeah! Finally got into the Coliseum & found our seats...wow! my dream of watching a concert in the Coliseum finally came true! The stadium seats were veri steep till i kinda afraid will miss my steps. 1st time, i saw a stadium fully seated leh! The age range of sammi's fans were from kids to aunties! hoho! Mich pointed to me the opp stage was where the guest celebrities were sitting & we tried to peer thru our mini bino but still can't fig out who they were, haha!
At 8.30pm, lights out & the light beamed brightly at the stage... the audience cheered wif enthus when Sammi appeared!!! Her stage costumes were lavish & never tot her 1st song would be my K song ''為獨你是不可取替''... would her mind be thinking of her ex-bf 許志安? haha! As the momentum built up, she sang a series of fast tracks and danced! Admired her for her stamina as she had not done any concert since 2004! The stage design was fabulous with moving stage and a strong band + 14 back-up singers doing capella....woo!
At mid-point of her concert, she talked abt herself for taking a 1 yr break from her career & she wrote columns & painted. It was touching when she related abt her strong family ties & how her dad suffered from a stroke... Well, part of her speech also made me pondered abt myself. Proceeding to mid-way, her guest artiste was Ho Wan Si 何韻詩 & everyone were high till stood up! Everyone waved our light-sticks & inflated pong pong sticks to the beats of the dance tracks!
Veri fast, the concert came to an end at nearing 11.40pm. We hoped to have encore but dun hv...& we headed back to hotel to rest.
