Wisdom Tooth...Am I Wiser?

6th March, i woke up early to visit the dental clinic for my wisdom tooth surgery. Quite phobic! The thought of going dentist juz give me bad vibes. Remember, in primary school, we had a friendly dentist whom we called her Nurse Yee. She even praised me that i'm brave cos' i didn't cry like the other kids. However, after i left pri sch, i had never met a good & gentle dentist.

Last week was very bad, the inflammation jotted me out of bed at 5am & I had to take half-day to check up. The x-ray found the cause was from my wisdom tooth. Sharks! I had similar encounter 1yr ago. This time round, i need to remove to cure the roots of the problem. During past week, i'm glad caring frens msn/sms me to see how i was.

Yesterday, went to the clinic near my block...sat on the dental chair nervously, yet trying not to show my fear. The dentist explained that he would give me local anesthesia to numb the left side of my mouth, then take another x-ray. Ruby warned me that the jab be painful, but i found it alright. Dentist said won't be painful, but will feel some force during extraction...ok. As my wisdom tooth was hidden under the gums, would need some drilling to extract. (听了都怕!)

Minutes later, i felt the numbness set-in. During the surgery i tried to divert my tots away... i kept thinking of Hana-Kimi (花样少年) drama, Wu Zun, Ella & the doggy + the funny scenes i watched, haha! The only words i kept hearing, was 'pls open your mouth wider, thank you'. It's tiring leh! Before long, he announced my tooth was extracted. Now, need to give me some stitches...ahah! This was the time i actually felt some pain... it's like eternity! I kept thinking why stitching took sooo long?

Finally, after 1hr, my ordeal ended... i was abit stoned when the dentist spoke to me and showed me my wisdom tooth... it was big! No wonder, caused such havoc in my gums! Got 1 week MC & burnt another hole in my pocket. Haiz! This week have to survive on porridge/bread, a food-lover like me...it's gonna be torturing. If optimistic, then it's probably detox time! Oh, man!
