After shopping, got a ph call from my gd fren, sheila 'cheo' me out 4 dinner. But mum had prepared dishes, sure will kana nag big time, if i dun return 4dinner. Now, muz always give mum 1day notice if not returning 4dinner lo:( Luckily, i smart, ask her cook abit rice 4 me. For 1st time in my life, i had 2 dinners in a nite. Cos' i only know my fren said will drive me to a HK Cafe outlet, but din say where! The word HK Cafe - Cha Chan Teng is enuf to make my mouth water! (my fav food - reminds me of HK lah)
7pm had mum's dinner ...By 8pm my fren & her bf arrived @ my place to chauffeur me. I so smart ... guessed we gg East Coast ''Shi Na Cha Chan Teng'' - HK Cafe. Nv been there before, but read abt its famous Po Lo Pau! Literally, 1.5 hours after my 1st dinner, i had my 2nd dinner!!! Woo! I was stumped by the wide variety on its menu. Only 3 of us, we decided 2try variety, instead of full portion each. Listen wat we had...Fried beef noodles, Chicken gultinous rice,Har Kow,Steam pork ribs, soft shell crabs, char siew Po Lo Pau & drinks! I eyed the desserts, so wan save a space in stomach for it. I had alot, ate 3/4 of one, out of the two Po Lo Pau. Cos' its really irresistable lo! My final dessert was a mango ice-cream cum pudding shared wif sheila, fighting over e yummy mango...haha!
We chatted & enjoyed the sumptuous dinner till it drizzled.
Wondering where 2go next, ended up at rochor's famous bean-curd stall. Also, another heard abt place, it was ard 11pm but people were still queuing to buy the dou hua, 'you tiao' leh! So gd biz, heng we got a seat. 1bowl of dou hua really so filling...shortly, we were shoo off to let others sit. No choice lo... drove again... my frens wan a drink @ WineBos. To accomodate a non-drinker like me, they ordered a fruity white wine. It's a nice place, esp the interior was cosy ambience but we sat o/s as they need 2smoke. Nice place, & i had dealt wif this co in my prev hotel job. 2am, ppl closing liao & i was chauffered home.
I think it was the best meal i had over this couple of feasting wif frens & colleagues. Definately, will return to the HK Cafe to taste it's french toast...yummy! I luv hk! >_<
