On fri evening, i organised a steamboat dinner at House of Steamboat for my frens... the usual khakis, Ruby & ZF. This time, added one more new fren, who is an old fren of ruby's to join us... YX. We gals started first as he was late. It's also the 1st time i had buffet steamboat wif them... as the 2 of them had one while i was holidaying in Bangkok, hmpf! Of course, i gotta intro a value for $$ place lah... this one at Tan Queen Lan Street is a few bucks cheaper than Liang Seah Street & offer free flow of drinks (nett $17.90).
Supposedly we were to go KTV tog but it's too pricey at abt $30 per pax....so i proposed a dinner instead. Veri soon, our table were filled wif many plates... we opted for the Tom Yum & Chicken wif herbs soup base. Ruby simply couldn't stand e sight of plates piling on our table & wanted to dump the food in to cook, haha! Then, zf & me agree that we shld eat slowly... Before long, YX came to join us. The 4 of us chatted & i could see the 4 of us would probably make veri gd travelling partners... well, we intend to backpack jap tog next Spring! YX excitingly wanted to count down....but we said it's too early! Our travel seems too far away to start counting now! haahaa!
Towards the end of 3 hrs of our makan session, we gals were pretty filled up....but evil us, kept ask the only guy to finish up the food! Ruby kept stired the pot & dug up pretty 'disgusting' balance for him, omg! See the 可怜 look on him, waahaa! We were guilty abt some food wastage cos YX went to took his 2nd round, thinking we could stomach more! Too bad, we couldn't liao... thou i still 讲义气, helped to eat 1 more slice of toufu. I was disappointed that there's no fruits jelly & watermelon tonite :(
We wanted to adjoin to Liang Seah St for desserts but full-house! So, we went to ToastBox at Bugis Junction for drinks instead... Turned out, there were more jokes created...all thanks to Zf & YX lo! Laughed so much till tears, juz missed falling off our chairs! keke! Ruby even commented laugh till jaws ached! The butt of e joke was YX who recounted his silly antic to us in an animated manner... he was using a vacumn cleaner thinking it's a fast way to clean up his keyboard. To his horror, one of the keypad got suck into the vacumn cleaner!!! He ended up had to suss thru' e rubbish to search for e tiny keypad, waaahaa! Can't believe his sillyness LoL.
Eating, drinking, chatting & laughing certainly let time zooms by in a twinkle... we had an enjoyable friday nite! (^o^)
