8 Aug 2008 ~ a special date indeed... While the Olympics was being officially opened at 8.08pm in the Chinese capital, Beijing ... my frens & I were having our mini gathering at Marina Square. It's quite a feat to gather 10 of us and it's fate that brought us together too. Last Nov, 10 like-minded young ppl got accquainted during our 8days 6nites package tour to Korea.
Time whizzed past really fast! Thou zf, ruby & I had 2 separate occasions met up wif some of them... this was the 1st time we gathered together at Kenny Rogers ~ Marina Square. Initially i was still worried that we would be chased away as our table was only scheduled for slightly past 1hr... luckily we managed to dine & chat for 2hrs, heehee!
Ruby & I arrived the earliest, followed by B & gf, another grp of 3 gals, zf, WX & gf. It's been awhile since i had Kenny Rogers & still as tasty... luv the macaroni cheese & coleslaw for side dishes & i polished up all of it! Yummy! Juz tt i dun fancy the muffin... keke! As usual, B was most chatty & kept talking ... our grp even tried to recount some hotels we stayed in korea & all agreed there was a particular hotel which gave us a creepy feeling!!! Thou we did lamented some of the food we had but C said her fren went wif another tour agent had food much worse than ours! So, we were considered lucky lah! How we missed the street snacks at Tapdong street in Jeju... oh my! the spicy rice cakes there was great! That was also the only nite we had time to wander ard & 10 of us went together!
B & I had the same tots of probably re-visiting korea in 5 yrs time! haha! By then, there will be new attractions such as Universal Studio near Incheon Airport. Anyway, envy B & gf as they will be gg Italy & Switzerland this Nov! Since watching the TVB drama 《衝上雲霄》, i had been dreaming to visit Italy for 5 yrs!
After dinner, we had 2 games of bowling for 8 of us ... as B & gf left earlier. I was on the losing streak & amazingly still got a strike towards end of game! Well, i was nv gd at this game... haha! That's how we spent this unique date together!
