Yday had a lunch date with my cousin ~ Charissa. I proposed we go chk out Ministry of Food (MOF) at Bugis Junction. Heard from Denise that the food is not bad & at decent prices. We met up at slightly past 1pm as Charrisa was late.
At MOF, there was not many people on a sat afternoon wo... i was overwhelmed by the choices on the food menu. There was a main menu which include sushi & bentos, while the other was a desserts menu. Gosh! I was more fascinated by the huge variety of gelatos & colourful sundaes waving at me on the desserts menu LoL. Charissa was fast at deciding on the Surf & Turf Set. At first she tot there's no rice tog wif the set, that's a NO NO as she's really hungry, haha! Then, she spotted the bottom stated that a coffee/tea + rice is included in the set! With an addition of $3, you can enjoy any of the desserts.
I was veri indecisive & finally settled on the Ebi Tempura Bento and ordered a separate Strawberry Gelato Mini, which had this ''recommended'' tag on the menu. Hmm, it sure does look yummy from the pic... hehe! Our food arrived pretty fast & my bento came with rice (topped wif jap seaweed) & 5 huge Ebi Tempura. There's this bookmark-like card explaining how to eat Tempura.

Charissa was mouth-watering when she saw her huge Surf & Turf Set (see candid shots on left). This is a Shabu-Shabu set, which u had to cook your own salmon sashimi & New Zealand beef slices. But i find the slices are not many...chk out the pic. The potato salad is tasty! The other plate is some veg/radish. The specially created apple sauce meant for the beef is delicious & not spicy. For desserts, Charissa had the Shira Kuri Mitsu, which had a serving of soft ice-cream with kanten jelly (supp hv slimming effect, extracted fr the root of a plant) ... there's also peaches, strawberries & apricots to go with. I rmrb this dessert costs around $6+ if ordered singly.

Juz as we about to tuck into our desserts, Ruby also came to join us. This is the first time i'm gg out wif my cousin & fren tog, heehee! We chit chat for a while & enjoyed our desserts. Afterwhich, we shopped in Bugis Junction & browsed around in BHG. There's a pre-GSS sales on-going in BHG & most brands had discounts ranging fr 15% - 20%! Guess wat? 3 of us end up bought cute towels! I saw the towels really soft & been wanting find face towels. Then, I saw this design wrote ''Cherry'' & showed it to Charissa! ''Cherry'' is her nickname & tis gal got so excited that she bought the whole set of 3 towels! haahaa!
We adjoined to MOS burger to rest our tired feets & chit-chat... Nearing 6pm, I bidded goodbye to my cousin, while ruby & me strolled to Bras Basah. However the shop we wan buy things was closed & Raffles City was our last stop for the day before sayonara & headed home for dinner.
