Final Days of 2006 ...

The last 2 days was spent happily with frens. On 30th, i organised ktv with sec frens, Yanyi & Xiuling. Understanding all of us r on a budget, i guaranteed them fun & good food, All-In below $30. It's my 1st time gg ktv with them in recent year. Incl this, i had ktv sessions like bi-weekly wif various groups these couple of mths...haha! XL was down wif little voice but gamely sang all the way! That's the spirit, gal! Most of my gf will sit & sing wif little xpressions...but to my surprise, Yan was sporty enuf to sing JJ's song wif me standing, we sang 曹操.We were all fans of JJ & 1st time, i see full page of his songs dedicated lo! haha! We also went abit retro, wif 张信哲 songs. Yan commented still oldies the best...i agreed! the way chinese pop in the 80s-90s had the everlasting melodies 'feel'. Hmm...thou open 2 songs fr Jay Chou etc, but nothing beats the evergreens. Dinner was the Cuppage budget jap food...my frens luv it!

After makan, Yan wanted made ATM withdrawal...suddenly called me over. Guess wat? She discovered $1000, all in $50 notes at the ATM. Gosh! Quick thinking XL, immed phoned DBS. But the dumb CSO adv us retain the cash till 3 Jan to return to bank. Siao! I told XL tell CSO inform the cust as we had the w/d slip & can provide the a/c no. Only then, e CSO put us on hold & called cust. After awhile, a man came & we verifed his identity before returning the cash. He was thankful. But i still feel the CSO had failed to handle e situation well, despite coming from a reputable bank. XL said i shld go be a CS trainer man!

31 Dec...went to watch ''Night in the Museum'' with Catherine. I would rate it the best movie for 2006. It was exciting yet funnie when all the museum's exhibits came alive...as the saying goes, 'history comes alives'. Cool CGI effects! My fren, Cat was laughing out xtremely loud, i nearly went deaf! I teased her need some etiquette class, else guys will be scared off...haha! 4-stars rated! Fantastic :-)

I suggested avoid town's dining crowd & go Novena garden to have HK Cafe's food. We had seafood e-fu mee, pork chop rice, XO carrot cake, french toast wif peanut butter, milk-tea, mango pudding! Cat is on a diet regime, yet goofed down all these food wif me! Then blamed me for bringing her eat all these wo! Haha! I know is a joke, we always teased one another. The french toast was disappointing, not as good as Central's.

Lotsa festive eating consecutively...hmm, but i cherished all the fun time with all my frens. 醉翁之意不在酒，哈哈!
