Dreaming...

Had some wild thoughts these days...perhaps trying to escape from reality? I had always wish to not juz simply do a job, but to do something i enjoy & have a passion... cos' if you luv every single day of what you do, it's juz not plain slogging. This morning, my colleague asked if i still need to clear leave. I replied, ''yup! 2 more days this mth" She asked if i going for any short overseas trip. Without hesitation, i said ''travel bookings were fulled, but it's ok, as long as i not come to work, anywhere in sg is fine.'' Speaking from bottom of my heart in a dreamy state...guess many frens can relate to this very well.

All along, i have this dream to wander & backpack across the globe. Anywhere is fine, throw me to S.Africa also no prob! Except India...no tks! It's an irony, when u have work & some savings, no time... when u r jobless, have lotsa time but spending is tight. I had stumbled upon an interesting website months ago, which tells you where you can volunteer your service across the world. One can get to work as zookeeper with the Sichuan pandas in china; save the plants in Australia; dolphins watching & studying them in middle of ocean; teach young Africans kids English etc. Cool! I was almost tempted to sign up but all comes with a hefy price-tag (in USD somemore)...means paying your own air-tickets & meals for the period you volunteer these overseas service.

It would be nice if i get a windfall & fulfill this dream of mine. Honestly, i always tot of teaching in the poor rural regions of china...maybe will let me appreciate life more!
