Dinner @ Togi Korean Restaurant

Today is the 15th day of the Lunar New Year (元宵節)...didn't expect the CNY came & went so fast!  Impromptu, unnie Clara suggested that we meet up for dinner... we decided to dine at Togi Korean Restaurant located at Mosque Street ~ Chinatown. It's a first try for ruby & me, while clara had visited numerous times.

At 6pm+ on a wkday, this small restaurant was already bustling wif diners... we were lucky to get a table since we were early. After a brief glance of the menu, i let the gals decide what to order... we ordered a Bibimbap (chicken), Ddeokbokki (fried rice cake; we added ramen), Kimchi Seafood Pancakes (opt for small; 3 big pieces).

The kimchi-based appetisers were dished out first... the ikan billis not bad. But I'm usually not a fan of the appetisers, haha! After juz a short wait, our main course of a piping hot Bibimbap arrived! The waiter offered to mix the rice for us & added a dose of the korean chilli sauce....wow! It's really yummy! Next, a huge plate of overwhelming reddish Ddeokbokki arrived. It looked so spicy & indeed it's overly spicy for my taste buds! Even unnie clara commented it's hot! Finally, Ruby & I tasted an authentic Ddeokbokki in Sg! We had always reminisced the tasty Ddeokbokki we ate in Jeju!  The rice cakes were really 'Q' to the bite & the ramen added absorbed the Gochujang sauce well. There's also thin slices of fish cakes (nice!), egg & dumplings in the dish. Lastly, we had the seafood pancakes... which i dun quite like.
Luckily, we din order more as the servings were juz nice for 3 of us. I also stumbled upon a recipe for the Ddeokbokki...if anyone will like to experiment wif tis dish. Next visit, shall ask for less chilli for the Ddeokbokki, so i dun need keep drink water, haha! Gamsahabnida unnie clara for the dinner!
