Yesterday was veri much looked forward to cos i am the event planner for an unusual gathering. In view of the last attempt for Sheila & Xiuling mit up, this time is extended to include Ruby, Zhifang & Clara for KTV session. But alas, last min clara was sick & couldn't join us. It has been my wish for past month liao... the delay was to accomodate sheila's exams schedule. The response was fantastic! Everyone seems eager to know the who's who on my blog!
We met at Shaw house and when i arrived, Sheila & Xiuling were alreadi busily chatting away... then caught up wif Ruby too bef we proceeded to KTV at Int'l Building. Omg! When we arrived at Partyworld, their supposedly 3pm opening was delayed & a long Q was formed outside. I been there so many times & this was a First! We were annoyed that our time been 'eaten' into. Zf arrived while we queuing. Aft 10 mins delay, we finally got our room. Yeah! I like this more spacious room, except the echo was pretty annoying.
Our songs lists ran up a few pages & the first half was pretty much like Ah-Mei's concert... cos XL like sing Ah-Mei's songs. On our songs list were 《人质》，《平常心》，《记得》，《如果你也听说》 & Ah-Mei's latest duet wif 萧敬腾 《一眼瞬间》。 I duet wif XL for 《如果你也听说》 testing at half key lower & finally found a suitable key to sing tis 高难度 song. 《一眼瞬间》 is one of XL's fav in the lastest album & i tried to learn the guy's part to duet wif her. It's really a tough one but nvm, it's only our trial singing, haha! We shall try again to perfect it!
Sheila's usual good vocal was not up to her usual std due to too much liquor & lack of sleep. In fact all of us had a lack of sleep the nite bef due to various reasons...but all my frens still veri enthu & 赏脸 to make it for this party. Despite Sheila's sleepyness, i still made her duet wif me cos it's been 4.5 mths since we sang tog. Finally could sing 《从不喜欢孤单一个》 wif her since i discovered this canto oldie mths ago. We re-capped our chemistry wif Alam Tam & Hacken Lee's duet 《一生中最爱》, till all the rest laughed at our 'echoing' pattern, haaahaaa! A surprise was when i chose the light-hearted Mayday & Chen Qizhen duet 《私奔到月球》, Sheila able to duet tis song tog! It's such a happy & romantic song!
Some little intervals of jokes (besides singing) made the day too! Zf was veri happy when XL admitted some lyrics she also couldn't read. Cos Zf was always the butt of the joke when me & ruby teased her, keke! Finally, she found a kaki wo! Well, if duno words can memorise lyrics ah! Another episode was sheila lost her way aft went for a smoke & she tried to discreetly sneak back in. But XL was so sharp & 'malu' sheila when blurted it out as she spotted a waiter escort sheila back to our room! Seeing both the gals playing in the room was a comical scene!
As usual each ktv session, i tried to challenge myself wif 'new' songs... New in the sense is that i juz picked up. I was bowed over by the some Youtube clips i watched lately... showing taiwan's singing contest 《超级星光大道》. Their contestants' standard were extremely good & i admire a few of them like 萧敬腾，杨宗伟，林侑嘉. From these clips, i learned 曹格 《世界唯一的你》 & 陈小春 《我爱的人》 performed by the contestants. So at yday's KTV, i finally sang 《世界唯一的你》, i find the song was well-written.
Towards the end of KTV, were pretty much exhausted... actually me & XL sang the most, waahaaa! We even tried to negotiate wif mgr for abit free extension as they let us in late...but to our dismay only 5mins extn, haiz! So my last couple of songs were Penny Dai's 《单身潜逃》, influence by the tv drama... it's pretty tough but at last! i could sang tt pretty well. (^-^) A duet finale wif Sheila was 《对你有感觉》 & the screen showed it's LAST song liao....
We were famished by then as had used so much energy to sing...haha! We boarded the mrt to Somerset... heading to my fav jap 大排档. We had expected need to wait for awhile as the place only hav a few tables. Once we got a table, i ordered a dinner set + gyoza, added another plate of gyoza & yaki udon. I estimated shld be juz nice for 5 of us. We were so hungry that we tucked in once the food arrived. Only start eating liao, they asked why din i snap a pic of the food, haha! When almost finishing the food, Sheila said not enuf & ordered another small plate of fried rice.
My plan aft dinner was coffee session at TCC but XL wanted buy a bag at Tangs... so 5 of us strolled back to where we came from. 
The digestive walk really digested part of my food...haha! After completing her shopping mission, we had a headache for coffee place. The TCC at Shaw Hse was closing when we chk it out... that time was only 930pm! Oh man! So i proposed we chk out Coffee Bean @ Wheelock. Heng, we managed to get seats & settled down for another 1hr plus of chit-chatting. By 11pm, we headed to Orchard Mrt & snapped a grp pic (minus zf as she left earlier).
