Celebrating Ruby's Birthday 。。。

Ruby & I met up at Liang Court closed to 2.30pm & still had enuf time for us to buy some food to sneak into Partyworld, keke! Din expect our lateness, let me bump into a long time no see ex-colleague ~ Wilson inside Partyworld... it was a pleasant surprise! After a quick catch-up, we proceeded for our 4 hours singing marathon... Clara was supposed to join us but she was unwell, hence let both of us to dominate the ktv! Hohoho!

The last ktv on my bday was 意猶未盡, so this round had to sing more! Within a short time, the controller seemed to let us press till 5 pages of songs, wahaha! I was glad that there's some new songs from Rene ~ 《我不想念》，《給15嵗的自己》... veri sentimental songs.  Since i'm in an emo mood, i tink i'm so apt in singing all the soulful songs! However, we had fun & joyful tracks in-between to balance the mood. When ruby was singing her fav Jay chou's tracks, she couldn't remember the tune & some lyrics, that only lead to me 'suaning' her lo! How can a Jay's fan forget the lyrics! haha!

My goal today for KTV was to challenge the high-key song 《對的人》 ~ 戴愛玲. Been listening repeatedly to this song after watching a singing competition on 《娛樂百分百》, the lyrics was simply meaningful & well-written! Felt not too bad after my 1st attempt at the song, thou had yet to perfect it! I tink i'm way better at my rendition of 丁噹 《我愛他》, another emo song esp if u had watched 《下一站幸福》... i couldn't help to promote this show to ruby everytime i dedicated it! Juz an unforgettable taiwan serial for this year! I was surprised to locate an atas mtv of 《親人》, a sub-theme for this drama cos there's no official mtv for this!

Then, i decided to jazz up the ambience by selecting 2 songs... we would have some fun acting out the mtv scenes! Dreamer's crazy idea again! Too bad, clara missed the great show! We sang to the classics 《戀愛達人》 + 《今天你要嫁給我》wif actions! Since Ruby had brought along her new dslr, we decided to cam-whore in ktv too! My 1st attempt at self-shot wif a heavy dslr ~ damm challenging as we wanted to capture the 'stars' above our heads! Plus the fact, there was restricted space for both of us to stand. Despite all my movements, i still felt freezing in the ktv room... even ruby who's rarely afraid of cold felt it too! Towards the end, i was exhausted & hungry ...

Upon stepping out of the 'freezer', ruby spotted Muta-ramen & we U-turn back to tuck into hot, soupy ramen to defrost properly.  It was my 1st try of this ramen as ruby had been raving about it, but was not exactly impressed by the chix stock, i still pref a rich tonkatsu stock! After filling our tummies, i led ruby on a stroll to Robertson Quay... On our way, i used her cam to snap some pics. Finally, we settled down at Book Cafe, which i had been wanting to intro her to the New York Cheesecake here! After giving our orders, i signalled the waitress aside & asked if it's possible to write 'happy birthday ruby' using choc art on the plate... the waitress told me she never try bef. hmm, quite surprise, dun tell me no customer requested this before?

Nevertheless, when the cake & drinks arrived, I presented the cake to Ruby, who had this surprised look, haahaa! So, the waitress managed to scrawl the words, minus her name on the plate... she explained that they din have the thin 'pen' for wordings. We were satisfied & I quickly used ruby's cam to take shots, machiam a professional photographer! As it was dark at our table,  i placed the plate under the fluorescent lamp to 'illuminate' the cake! We had fun & whirled away the evening lounging ourselves on the cosy sofa & best part was due to the on-going world cup, the place was virtually empty & we were the last customers to leave for the nite!

P.S: " I din get to eat the cheesecake on my bday, but i ensured u will get it, topped wif a little surprise! cheers to our 14 yrs of friendship'' ~ dreamer
