KR @ Botanic Gardens 。。。

Today Farmer K & Farmer Grumps decided to walk out of our virtual farms to smell the floral & fauna at Botanic Gardens... In case, u guys r wondering why we had turned into farmers, that's our nicknames in a farming game on FB, wif each of us represented by a kawaii avatar.

When Ruby arrived, she looked so sian after her merry-go-round bus ride. Think of it the other way, get to see the other side of S'pore! Being the CEO (Chief Entertainment Officer), i planned tis outing wif an objective to polish our photography skills. So, I've put on another cap as Creative Director today as i lugged my tripod along. The tot of doing this had been on my mind for the past year. Thou' it looked super cloudy & rainy anytime, i decided to proceed wif our plans, risking 50% chance of rain!

Wohoho! Heaven is so nice to us, not only it didn't rain but clouds were sheltering us fr the sun. This type of weather is best for photography cos the light is not so harsh. Ruby & I checked the map of the park & we strolled to the pond where we saw swans gliding gracefully on the water. There were 5 fat swans swimming leisurely & some pecking at food fed by park goers. It's quite hard to capture a good shot but i got one! This part of Botanic Gardens reminded me of childhood days when my parents brought me here. Since then, i had never stepped into here liao!

Then, we came to this Ginger Garden Walk where there's cascading waterfall... so cooling here! Many people were flocking here for photoshoots too. Hmm... now i know how ginger plant looks like. Finally, i found a side walk to set up my tripod & took the KR (our initials) duo pic at the waterfall.... say cheese ^o^

Next, we past by the Orchid Gardens but as admission fee is required... we didn't enter. While posing outside the Orchid Gardens, met a cute auntie who made me laugh so hard...by counting our timer, saying 1...2....3 cheekily!

By now, we were feeling sweaty & tired so we stopped for a break. During our break, I continued to tink of how to compose our next shot, wif the tall coconut trees as backdrop. I know it's tiring but ruby is forever patient wif me! haha! Can wait for me to figure out wat's next, without rushing me... tis is crucial as she trusts my creative instincts! Our local photography practices will lay the foundation for our future overseas trips!

After resting our tired legs, we moved on to finding the way out... while doing tt, we past by a stretch of veri colourful flowers. This area is the Heliconia Walk. Cool, the beautiful floral made a nice backdrop... once i located a suitable angle, will get ruby to standby & i dashed over! I like the few pics taken here... so nice :)

Finally, we found the exit of Botanic Gardens & wanted to proceed to part 2 of our plan... head to Dempsey Hills! But alas, we din noe that the exit is at Nassim Road... tis part is so ulu! I asked a passer-by for directions & was told to cut thru Botanic Gardens again! Nvm, we hopped on to a cab to detour back to Dempsey. Ruby wanted bring me to eat cheesecake at PS Cafe... she swear tt the cake there is so nice! Alamak, PS Cafe is closed for function! I'm sooo disappointed... Ruby recalled that there's a Ben & Jerry too, so we headed for it. This is my 1st time coming to Dempsey Hills.... another adventure of the day, haha! We got respite fr the cooling Ben & Jerry ice-cream, yummy! The ambience is nice too as we sat at a cosy corner wif chandelier hanging down.

For dinner, we bused down to Orchard Central to try out Quizno sandwiches... the new kid on the block. This is the 2nd outlet, besides the first one at Far East Sq. Since it's our first time, i randomly selected the 12-inch Honey Bourbon Chicken sub sandwich wif a salad as side. We shared the sandwhich & ruby commented thou' the chix is tasty, its bread is not so nice. The bread is pre-selected depending which set u order, unlike Subway where u choose e bread. I find it worth my dime as the chix r thick chunks filling the sandwich lo! The salad is very fresh & nice...haha! Having exhausted so much energy today, i woofed down my sub & salad hungrily! Thou i am dead-beat but felt a sense of achievement today ^o^

P.S: buddy, i've added ur fav jay chou's 稻香 to go wif our pics! Enjoy!
