It's pretty late, 130am liao... but i muz blog today's event. Today i'm on leave, & last wkend so happen told my good fren, sheila abt it. She also 'chop' her leave for today. Yippee! Cos' we had not met up for past 1mth plus since we both started new jobs. Then, a bonus came along....another good fren, Cherie also decided last min to join us! The last time we went ktv tog was in May, on my bday. Moreover, these 2 buddies of mine are working in same co. now!
I was so excited this morning, i even gave sheila a morning call, so that we can meet up for lunch at TB Plaza 1st. When i caught sight of her, almost can't recognise her, she wore her sunglasses, with white jacket, cool leh! I commented she looks good in white, which i had not seen her wore before. We went & found parking space at TB basement. Afterwhich, we met up with Cherie, whom i also missed alot. Poor her, was having a bad flu but nonetheless, still came down for me.
Finally, about time for us to head for ktv, but me & sheila forgot we parked at which level! After awhile, heng, we located her car. By then, the torrential rain had stopped. We happily drove to cuppage, my usual ktv hangout. We had lots of fun & laughter, singing many songs... our only lament, was the xtreme cold ktv room, we were freezing!!! I managed to test sing a few new songs! My much awaited Jay Chou's 退後 is finally here! While i was singing it, the 2 gals went veri quiet. Aiya! they were engrossed watching the mtv lah, haahaa! I also tried out Lee Hom's songs -- 如果你聽見我的歌 & 第一個清晨... discovered from his concert dvd & tried on my guitar! Too bad, no one able to sing with me the duet by FIR -- 天天夜夜. With Cherie duet, we sang an oldie by Mavis Hee -- 明知道. I preferred the canto version, while she felt the chinese version better. We started singing the canto, midway, both of us had same tots to switch to chinese on 2nd verse....great minds think alike!!! While ending e song, i purposely switched back 2 canto & we harmonised so well in canto & chinese, yeah! The high part was our muz song, 10min canto medley by Leo Ku -- 勁歌金曲. It's takes great stamina to sing this but our chemistry & luv for this song is damm fantastic!!! It contains many classic canto pop, & the medley composed was super!
4 hrs of ktv ended & i had planned cheap yet yummy jap food at cuppage 1st level. This makan place was intro to me by cherie, so now, i wanna intro to sheila. We had ramen, fried rice & gyoza. While the gals shared part of their fried rice with me, I ate up 1 huge bowl of ramen by myself! They not surprised lah, cos' they always joked that i muz have worms in my stomach. Hohoho! Actually, i used to eat even more last time, now had cut down on supper. Such a good meal, only cost $10 each! Sheila kept asked if wan order 2nd plate of gyoza, but me & cherie had enuf.
After filling our stomach, we had drinks at the alfreso S11 outside....more gossip session, as i listened to their office stories and cherie shared with us on how she met her hubby... haha! At 11 plus, we wanted to go home. Sheila, offered to drive me back 1st as she & cherie lived in jurong area. But i'm really hopeless in giving directions....& cos' of me, we ended up making wrong turns when nearing TB rd....both were abt to strangle me! OOPS! I felt bad making sheila so stressed driving around. Finally got home, & got teased by them lor....said should have abandoned me somewhere... 'sob sob'
Anyway, it was still a fun-filled day & i'm so glad to have such frens :-)
